Application & Selection Procedures

  1. A separate application in addition to the Cypress College Application is required for admission to the Ultrasound Program. PLEASE NOTE: F-1 visa students will not be accepted for admission into any program when applications by qualified U.S. citizens exceed space available.
  2. Application must be completed in person at Health Science Counseling office the month of February.
  3. March 15- All documents must be returned to Health Science Counseling office:
    -GED and/or high school and college transcripts
    -Copies of A.R.R.T. Registry, C.R.T. Licensure and Certificate of Completion from J.R.C.E.R.T. or AMA approved Radiologic Technology Program must be submitted.
  4. Practical Radiologic Technology years of experience must be verified by completion of the work experience form by the employer.
  5. An appointment with Health Science counselor is recommended to discuss selection criteria and deadlines for application process.  Selection criteria will award points to practical and formal radiologic technology experience as well as grade point average in program prerequisites.  Selection criteria is subject to change.
  6. Class enrollment is based on the number of approved clinical education centers available.  Student capacity is also determined by the Joint review Commission in Education in Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
